Refresh (Young Adults) Track

As part of the ICDF conference in Sweden we are running an afternoon track specifically tailored to train, connect and encourage dancers aged 17-30.

It will be a 3 hour session covering both afternoon workshop slots and we will be doing a mixture of technique (from a variety of teachers focusing on a different style every day), leadership training, biblical devotional and building connections with each other.

You don't have to join all 3 sessions in the track but it would be lovely to see you if you can.

Youth Scholarship

Are you below 30 years of age? Apply for a Youth Scholarship here.

Teachers

Steven Turner (UK)

Steven Turner has trained in a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, street, mime and moving with props. He attended a Laban boys course, as well as attending summer schools with companies including Springs Dance Company, Movement in Worship and Chantry Dance Company.

In recent years Steven has founded his own organisation, Next Step Creative, to promote collaboration between dance and other creative arts: and regularly choreographs and teaches for Dance 21 (a dance company for children and young adults with Down’s syndrome).

He has performed at Project Dance Paris and travelled to Rotterdam to teach in connection with his role as ICDF Refresh Coordinator. He has performed across the UK and Europe including Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, and France.

Levi Blad (Sweden)

Levi was educated at Royal Swedish Ballet School and started working with Royal Swedish Ballet after graduation. Abroad he has worked with Ballet Jörgen Canada and Opera Atelier. In Sweden he has also worked as a Musical Theatre artist in Billy Elliot.

At this year's ICDF Conference, he is also leading an afternoon workshop on ballet.

Hilde (Norway)

Hilde came into contact with ICDF when she studied dance at Wesley Institute for Ministry & the Arts in Sydney, and has since then been involved with dance in different settings inside and outside church, teaching and doing some choreography. Most of her training has been in ballet, Graham-technique, release-technique, and a mix of other contemporary techniques. She has also trained in a movement style called Gyrokinesis.
